hi,
If we r using stateful session bean.The bean will instantiate only when we call create().In HS they told the bean is going to passivate b/w the timegap.whether the bean stores the information somewhere and handles someother client's request or the bean itself is going to passivate state leaving the resources to someother bean.

Hi Ashokkumar

Purpose of Passivation is to left the resources such that database connection, JMS Connection etc and Bean itself should goes to serialized state, which is stored in the secondary storage( Java Serializaion and Externalization). Other beans might be use Left the resources. This way we can scalable the stateful beans means, resources and Ram memory have been used by the other clients(Other stateful bean).
