Hi all,
I know almost every body asks this question but again I'm asking these. I would really appreciate a reply.
a) How should I go for preparing for this exam? I have lots of Java experience but very little JSP/Servlet experience. I cleared SCJP back in September 2003. Will 3 weeks be sufficient?
b) I have SCWCD Exam Study Kit by Hanumanth Deshmukh and Jignesh Malviya? Is this sufficient? If I'm not wrong then that book is for 1.3 version. Do I need any other resources for 1.4 version.
c) Does this certification add any value to the resume? I'm currently employed and have mainly application level java programming/networking experience but I want to move to J2EE area. Will this help in my job search?
Thanks in advance,
Deep

If you got less experience in JSP and Servlets... You need to take time... I don't think 3 weeks is enough for fully prepared...

Yes, that book is enough for SCWCD 1.3... But if you are going for SCWCD 1.4, you need some more books like Pro JSP from APress and JavaServer Pages from O'Reilly...

It depends on your country situation... You have to know about the country you are currently living whether employers there care about certs or not... Usually if you have cert, you get more advantage than others for sure...

No, I was lucky at that time This time my goal is to learn java web technology not getting 100% ;-) .
Anyway, is that book enough for the preparation and then how much additional effort is needed. Should I skip few chapters from that book if they are no longer asked in the exams?
Thanks
Deepak
