execution of servlet doesn't mean session is created?

in servlet script request.getSession() gets the session if it is present else it creates new one.
is session will not be created automatically when we invoke a sevlet from Internet Explorer. in what conditions request.getSession(false) returns null because of no existing session.

You really need to start consulting the documentation on methods you are confused with -- it helps alot. (Read my comments on your other post regarding getSession() and getSession(boolean).)
