Hmmm....2 months of hard work....cleared it at last...but could not get a good score...got 72% only...

I expected around 80%+ after I finished the exam....But finally ended up getting very low scores in JSP pages using EL and Custom tags...That brought down my score a lot...the other topics were pretty easy...

My score equals enthuware score(average of all the exams..) and HFSJ+10% score...

I might have lost in questions which had multiple answers and I was not sure of one of them but was 100% sure of the other answers...of the same question..But still that can go wrong if even one of them is wrong. So concentrate on such answers.

Experience counts a lot..I feel .....:-))as I could not go beyond the book..Did not read the specs..have just seen them..

But finally its DONE....
The credit goes to HFSJ..and to all of you Ranchers....
My hands-on and your help has helped me a lot while HFSJ helped me clear the exam...

All the best for all of you...
Moving now to SCBCD forum.
Hope to see you all there...
Thankyou so much for all your help....Thanks a lot...

Congrats Javainn on passing the SCWCD .
You were one of the active members in this forum .Thanks for all the help.

Javainn , one question do you think we need to study more than HFSJ ie do we need through Specs . If so which topics do you think it is most necesssary
Or do you think that HFSJ is sufficient to get a score of around 80 %

All the best for SCBCD

Thankyou Sanjay and shiva viswanathan.
Thankyou for your help...in this forum. You have been of great help...RANCHERS.
Wish You All The Best...

Sanjay,

I feel its not necessary to read specs at all if you want to score around 80%.HFSJ is more than enough.
I could not score 80% due to the reasons I mentioned in my previous post.
Even if you have little experience in working with these technologies,...I feel that counts a lot.
You can easily score well if you can understand the concepts thoroughly that are given in the book.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING::

Do read the errata before you start reading the book and mark them in the book.
I read it on the last day before the exam and was very much confused.
Do not repeat my mistake.
Having handson will definetely help you a lot.
All the best.

Thanks,
Javainn

Great job, Javainn !

I am still not confident enough to take SCWCD, so it might take another month to follow you. You are absolutely right about advising to read the errata.

Good luck for SCBCD - and have a look at the errata for HFEJB

Hi Bert Bates,

Really elated to see your reply.
Thankyou so much.
I am really really grateful to you all.
The book HFSJ is simply superb..no words to explain ....
It is helping people like me who do not have prior experience and still be confident by reading it..
Without your book...I wouldn't have felt J2EE is simple.
Now I have purchased HFEJB and started loving it.
Great work...Thankyou....
