how SCWCD help me to get a job

hi all,
myself rajesh and i am a MCA Fresher . i cleared SCJP1.4 on 26April 2005 with 95%,i want to work on J2EE platform. for this purpose i want to give the SCWCD exam to clear my understanding about JSP & Servlet Technology.
Please Please.... tell the benefits of giving this exam for getting job
on J2EE Platform.

Hi Rajesh ,

Doing SCWCD will definitely improve your servlet and JSP knowledge which will definitely improve your chances of doing well in an interview .

However , as far as I know , possessing a certification may not directly help you. There are a few companies which specifically ask you for certification.
So in such a case you will definitely have an edge

However most companies may not even see the certification seriously
and will judge you only on how well you do during the interview

So essentially , if you taking certifiaction to get a good knowledge to
concepts so that you can do well in interviews then take it
But certification alone will almost surely not get you a job
