If you can get past the occasional typo then this is a good book. For instance, the first question in the first chapter quiz does not have an opening bracket in the code. One of the choices is "code does not compile", but this is not the answer. Also, in some examples of the web.xml, it say web-abb instead of web-app in the deployment descriptor. This book is in the same series as the K&B SCJP book so I do like the format. Also, it has more hands on exercise assignments than HF does. I would recommend it, but beware of the little pitfalls.

P.S. I have not been able to find the errata on this book either.
