Hi all,
Can you tell me what is a "value object" in design patters. Why is it used? I read about value object somewhere but dont remember where.

J2EE people named the Transfer Objects as Value Objects initially. Then they realized that the term Value Object already existed with a different meaning, so renamed their term as Transfer Objects.
