in the DD what does it mean???

It means the session never times out.

SCJP 1.4 - 91%, SCWCD - 97%, SCJP 5.0 - 83%, SCJP 6.0, OCEJWCD - 80%

Manning's SCWCD Exam Study Kit says:

The <session-timeout> element contains the timeout in minutes. A value of 0 or less means that the session will never expire.
...
if we want to specifiy that a session will never expire using the setMaxInactiveInterval() method, a negative value (not 0) is required.
