HFSJ Book uses old EJB 2.0. Isn't 2.0 obsolete for the exam?

Now the latest is EJB 3.0 and HFSJ book was published in 2004. Is everything up-to-date for the exam.

Specifically, SUN now have EJB 3.0. So could I use the HFSJ book to still study EJB for the exam?

Thanks

Hey Firas,

The book matches the exam! The exam won't be updated for a while yet...I'd guess the new exam will be available in early 2007.

Oh wait, this is confusing now - we're in the Servlets (SCWCD forum) and you're asking about the EJB exam?

Okay here goes:

Both HF books (SCBCD and SCWCD) are current for the current exams.

Probably the EJB exam will be updated first, I'd guess early 2007.
Probably the Servlets exam won't be updated until mid-2007.

hth,

Bert

I was asking about the EJB material (if any) required for SCWCD exam. But now after browsing the HFSJ book, I noticed that only some beans (not EJB) material are required for the SCWCD exam.

I am glad it covers the exam since I like the style it's written in. Especially now I am watching the CGI & Servlet black-belt holders fighting on whose better...I was watching this on the Metro.

Too bad ...because who wins was to be continued for later chapters.

You don't have to know anything about EJB for the SCWCD.
Just remember the content of tags like ejb-ref and ejb-local-ref in web.xml.
