Hello everyone,
When I cleared SCWCD yesterday,I was thinking not to disclose my result on
javaranch. But,Here it is-I cleared the test with 68%.
I am quite disappointed.
After scoring 52% in the HFSJ mock exam,I wasn't expecting a miracle to happen in my case(90% or more)But,I was expecting to get around 75% to 80%.
Unfotunately,I couldn't score that much.Surprisingly,I scored 80% & above
in the topics in which I was very weak & 50% & less in some of the topics in which I was very strong.

Note for anybody who is going to appear for the exam in future:
As I wasn't familiar with drag & drop questions,I struggled while dropping the questions. This wasted around 5 to 7 minutes. Please be familiar with it
or if you face any problems while exam solving,Please get them resolved with
the person in charge on prometric.

Finally,I want to ask to anyone who had scored well or to the experiencd
people, that this low score of mine will prove to be nothing to me when I
will try to fetch a good job?Currently,I am a fresher & looking for good opportunity in java. Please, let me know your frank opinion.

Hi Vipul,

Congratulations! you have passed dude.

Now you are certified and you dont need to feel bad. In jobs, they see you as a certified professional and not like college students where the exam results decide which course you are entitled too!

The certifications pass criteria is designed in such a way that once you exceed that score then you are in a position to work on it comfortably. And with time and experience a person is bound to get more maturity in the thing he is working upon.

There are some people whom I know and who are certified but they dont even have a practical sense of working on what they got certified for! Certifications may decide your capability but when put to the ultimate test of giving a proof, your score will not count, your end product will.

So cheer up!

Hi Vipul,
Congrats man you have cleared SCWCD and over all its really nice to know how serious you are about your career. Well preparing for Business Components or the Java Web Services depends on your interest towards the topics... i mean if you like EJB's more to work on then you should go for the EJB certification and vice versa. Now since you have cleared SCJP and SCWCD so its not important to know about which is more important in the software market between EJB's or Web Services but i guess now you should go for whichever domain you would like to work on. I wish you All The Best.
