Hi..I have a question about using the LocateRegistry class..is it ok if I start the registry through java code rather than launch in a separate console window?? i think it simplifies the server starting process and makes it more user-friendly...is this feasible?? please comment.. i ask the administrator which he wants to use and then call
Registry r = Registry.createRegistry(int port)
r.rebind("serviceName", server);
Regards
Pallav.

Go for it. I'd say it is the better way.
