the .db file is the "database" you have to work with. You have to read from it and write to it. You must keep the original copy of the .db file to submit with your application so be sure to keep backups. You, as a potential certified
Java developer, have to figure out with the aid of the given documentation how to read that file. Do not expect the file to contain only ASCII bytes of data, there is binary data too. You have to select the best Java IO class or classes for your needs. If you do not know how to do that I would suggest looking back through this forum for topics similar to yours and/or reading a tutorial on Java I/O.
