Hi everyone. Many of you who are subscribed to the JavaRanch newsletter may have received three identical copies of our latest newsletter today. We're sorry about that - somehow our process for sending those out has spontanteously generated a new bug. We're still investigating what happened. We're sorry for any inconvenience or irritation. Cheers...

OK, it was my fault. Carl handed off the bulk emailer to me and there was a misunderstanding in how the bulk emailer works. But it shouldn't happen again. I hope!
So please accept my apology for any inconvenience.

Thanks, Thomas. I wasn't going to name the culprit - unless of course it had been Mapraputa's fault.

Aha. Let's see what you can get for it...
Many of you who are subscribed to the JavaRanch newsletter may have received three identical copies of our latest newsletter today.
Was it "our latest newsletter"? According to my data, newsletter was scheduled to be broadcasted March 1.

Newsletter, book promo announcement... whatever. It's not as though I actually read it.

Yep it was the announcement of this weeks book giveaway.
But then I'm helping out on the JavaRanch Newsletter now, so thanks for apologizing in advance Jim

I prefer calling him "Darth Thomas" anyway.
I should note though that my previous comment does not mean that I don't read the newsletters; it's just that I get them at
http://www.javaranch.com/newsletter.jsp
The extra copies that show up in my mailbox usually get deleted on sight. (I get extra copies of all sorts of things because I have several different addresses being redirected to one account.) As for book promo announcements, I usually hear about them beforehand as well. And generally all the info I need is in the subject line; no need to look at the message body before deleting.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
