Hi,

This link says "your object will be automatically exported for RMI access" but is not this accomplished by extending Remote?

So can someone explain in a little more details what is the purpose of extending UnicastRemoteObject (you will get UnmarshalException if you don't), and what is the purpose of implementing Remote interface.

thanks in advanced.

Ok I think got it...
UnicastRemoteObject allows the remote object to be accessible (allows the object to be written on the stream) to the moethods defined in Remote interface.
