Hmm...good question.
Most people recommend (1) as the authors were the architects for the actual exam. I'm currently using this one along with Brogden's exam cram.
Just my two cents.

Hi prashant,
i am also preparing 4 the certs, and have been using
Java 2 exam cram by bill brogden and the other is
Java 2 the complete certification guide
the second one is recommended as it is written by a sun ed expert and also talks sense but has some errors, be sure to check the errata's
Happy cert prep (Cramming i mean !)
sushant!
