I know little about both JSF and portlet.

What's the difference (special) in JSF portlet application compare to JSF web application?

The things I noticed are:

You have a portlet.xml file, in that you write:

You even don't specify the location of faces-config.xml file as we do in case of struts portlet application in portlet.xml:

Also you don't need any kind of mapping in web.xml to get to the *view.jsp* as it is done in view mode of portlet in portlet.xml.

My question is, what more we can do with JSF portlet application?

Thanks!
