NoClassDefFoundError: javax/ persistence/ GeneratedValue

Apparently something is missing from my class path! Can someone tell me what I need to add for a minimal example of spring/hibernate? Google searching helped me with some similar mysteries previously but I ran out of luck this time.

I found it but I cannot remember which jar file fixed it. I think I had downloaded two versions of ejb-persistance.jar as part of hibernate and another as part of spring and only one of them had the class I was looking for. How confusing!

Since it was a JPA class it was in ejb-persistance.jar
