I have a requirement to allow users to submit digital images (prefer as attachments) and save these images into the oracle database. My application is written in J2EE and uses struts framework and Websphere server. I want to know what are the j2EE standards and which technology to use. PLease advice.

J2EE 1.4 specifies the use of MIME attachments with SAAJ.
Their interoperable use is specified under Attachments Profile Version 1.0.
