Hi,
I'm new to the web services. I've some basic doubts like

1) what is a web service? or when we can call an application is a web service?

2) How can a make a ejb as a web service.

3) what are the pre requisites we need, in order to jump in to web service?

4) suggest some good basic to advance books, which are truely vendor independent?
