According to the MIDP documentation, screen.setTicker(null) is supposed to remove a ticker from a screen, however when I issue this command it just causes a NullPointerException during the painting of the screen.
I am executing within Sun's WTK 1.0.4
Good news, it seems to work on the i95cl fine. I haven't tested on the i85, but that will be next.
Anyone else seen this problem?
Nancy

Nancy,
I believe that is a documented bug in the WTK emulator.
Give it a try with MIDP 2.0 - If you don't have it installed, send me your source code, I'll give it a try.
