OK, I want to use the javax.microedition package and its subpackages and they dont come with the j2se. these are part of the generic connection framework

Generic Connection Framework Optional Package (JSR-197), version 1.0
This is the specification of the Generic Connection Framework Optional Package for the JavaTM 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SETM), version 1.0.

would anybody kindly tell me how to get this package so i can use it?
I have the documentation which I got from the JSR-197 page.

thanks

I'm going to move this to our J2ME forum, where I'm sure someone will be able to help.

OK, the GFC is part of J2ME. the javax.microedition packages are part of J2ME. javax.microedition contains the GFC class in one of their packages. But javax.microedition is not part of GFC, it is the other way around.

OK, you need to go to Sun's Java website and download the wireless toolkit. It is an easy download. It has all the jars already in it.

thanks Mark, but its just a little late, I already did that and yes, its in the wireless toolkit but only in the 2.3 beta. the WMA download doesn't offer jsr-205, but jsr-120 i think they're stil to update it.
thanks anyway
