void in not void

FYI, the following code will nnot compile.

public static void main(String[] args){
return void;
}

First of all a void function cannot have a return type
and secondly u r trying to do something like return int!!! now how do u expect this to work for u!

You can however do this

public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Before return");
if(1 > 0) {
return;
}
System.out.println("After return");
}

Nothing can be returned from a void, but you can return nothing. You can place "return" in any method that has a void return type. If you had a non-void return type then you would have to return the type specified.
