Math question...

      int cnt = 0;
      for (int i=0; i<values.length; i++)
      {
         if (Math.round(values[i]+.5) == Math.ceil(values[i]))
             cnt++;
      }
      System.out.println("result = " + cnt);

   }
}

The result is :
result = 2
My question is related to the comparison. The round() method receives a double and returns a long, whereas the ceil() method returns a double. Is there any rule regarding comparison of primitive types? Is the long value returned from the round() method promoted to double?
