I tried to download jdk5.0 with compiler, but it seems there is no javac in bin directory after installation.

The place I have looked is from here

Can someone tell me where to download compiler so that I can use it to compile source code in the console?

Thanks.

Be sure you download Download JDK 5.0 Update 4 and not Download JRE 5.0 Update 4.

When you install it, you should see two directories in the C:\Program Files\Java directory: the jdk1.5.0_04 directory and the jre1.5.0_04 directory.

javac.exe is in the jdk1.5.0_04\bin directory.
