Hi ,

I have written some programs for pratice.I have downloaded j2sdk1.4 from suns site. Now where should I place my java programs. It has created a folder named j2sdk1.4.1_07 in C drive under which all directories like bin,lib etc. are there. But through command prompt I am unable to change to that directory(i.e j2sdk1.4.1_07).It says invalid directory.I cannot rename it since then might need to change the path What should be done in such case?

I'm lost with what you are saying. This means, you already set-up your path
to your j2sdk1.4.1_07/bin direcotry, if not, this is what needs to be appended to PATH variable. After this is added to your PATH, you can have your java programs wherever you want on the c:\ drive.

Why 1.4.1? You should use the latest 1.4.2 release.
