Can anyone suggest that how much knowledge of API is required for SCJP 5.0
I think learning API is tooooo tough.

Any advice would be appriciated

Just learn the bits mentioned in the objectives.

Ask a Meaningful Question and HowToAskQuestionsOnJavaRanch
Getting someone to think and try something out is much more useful than just telling them the answer.
