I'm currently looking for a jr. programmer job in NYC area.
I have created software for a school that tests students knowledge on algebra. The program reads from a database randomly selected questions from chapters that the user has preselected. The user can save their results and chart their progress(Uses IO, GUIs, AWT, SWING, Exceptions, ans such...).
I will have my Java certification within a month. JDBC is something I've been dabbling with and would like to expand upon.
I have excellent interpersonal skills and am highly motivated.
Being that this is a career change for me(9 year calculus teacher), I am ready to meet the challenges required to be an excellent and eager to learn employee.
I have a BS in Mathematics and Masters in Educational Administration. I have also taken the 5 day intensive Java course run by Sun Microsystems(Highly recommended. Expensive, but worth it).
If interested please enail me at snydb@home.com.

I have recently gotten into Java and would like a position in NYC too. I also am working on certification. We might have more in common.
