"Luke Skyreader",

We're pleased to have you here with us here on the Ranch, but there are a few rules that need to be followed, and one is that proper names are required. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

Yeah...now i am busy on HeadFirst Servlet & JSP (O'Reilly) from Kathy Sierra. It's pretty good. I like the humor inside

Another book that i think very good is: Professional JSP 2nd Edition (Wrox). Yeah, its not the newest (3rd Edition is the latest i believe), but it still very relevant. I got it from Alibris.com (used one) just for $14.97.

Another book that very interesting too is about Artificial Intelligence. Emergence: The Connected Lives of Ants, Brains, Cities, and Software from Steven Johnson.

Yikes!!! Becareful with the Professional JSP 2nd Edition book. You might hurt your back! It's 1000 pages (very small font too). It might offer you so much information that none of the 12 authors had time to read the whole book cover to cover.

[Bear edit: off-topic content removed. Issues with the naming policy should be taken up in the JavaRanch forum. not here]

Presently, I'm working through Test Driven Development by Kent Black. It's been quite fun to implement this style of development into my process.

Good luck!

I've the first edition and it's brilliant. Bit dated now of course but I guess the second edition addresses that.
