Um, can you explain in a little more detail what you are looking for here?

I assume you mean "resume" as in description of a person with education and employment history (a.k.a resum, a.k.a curriculum vitae), rather than "resume" as in start again after stopping?

What sort of template might you be looking for? a web page? an XML document? a Word document? a JSP? Something else?

Is this for you, or for someone else? Is it for general interest, or targetted at a specific job opening? Is it for someone in the computer business, or another field? Is it for someone with a lot of experience, or someone fresh out of school?

There are a million questions ....

lol, I did not think I was going to have to answer 1000000 questions!

I am looking for a General Word Document resume, I am just trying to find a format that looks nicer then the basic two that I have.

basic info I am looking to display is
experience, intership, book, skill set.

I was hoping that someone had a link that had some ideas on layout.

Hi Eric

Take a look at:

http://www.fazed.com/careers/killer_cv.html Generel information about what to enter in a CV

http://www.thebigchoice.com/Careers/Job_Application/Applying_by_CV.html Another site with CV tips and guidelines

http://www.cv-service.org/example1P1.html Examples of CV's in IT, Sales ect.

http://www.technical-resumes.com/examples.html Examples of CV's for IT professionals

If the above doesn't help, then try to google for "examples of a cv", "how to write a cv" or something similar

Eric wrote: I am looking for a General Word Document resume

I understand, but I still strongly suggest that what you should really be considering is much more like resum-on-demand rather than some static take-it-or-leave-it document.

The most important factors in deciding how to layout a resum, what to include in it, and how to describe what you do include are the readers. If you write for an unknown, generalized, audience you can easily end up with a document that scratches nobodies itch, and leaves you looking poorer as a result.

So who is the client for this document? potential employers looking for a web designer? potential employers looking for a programmer? publishers looking for an author? college admissions people ? a potential spouse?

Frank,

I will personalize the content of the resum based on the job, I just needed a way to present it. My old layout was not pleasing to the eye, and crammed the information all into small areas. I used some of the ideas from the other posts and made it look more professional. My other resume looked like a kid out of school.
