Problem with equality test.

Hi all

I'm relatively new to the JSTL, but I've got a few pages working. Now I'm having problems with this equality test. The code looks like :


When this is run I get this result :


They are NOT equal
List 533
End Index 533
Max Number 534



Somethings going wrong with the equality test.
The pages uses the imports


Does anyone see anything obvious ?
the fn function works when displaying the length of the list. I've used both == and eq to no noticeable effect.
Advice very much appreciated.
