Can this not be done and given correct info?
I have even tried makign each result set be called by its own Statement. Any ideas? Should this be avoided?

it is *usually* common practice to have many nested resultsets, each with their own Statement. I say *usually* because there are some substandard JDBC drivers that are also limited to 1 Statement to 1 Connection ! So check to make sure that your driver can handle multiple Statements for each Connection then query away!
