What I found when searching Google is that there is a Java Bean that ships with Version 8.5 that allows you to load Reports created with Crystal Reports.
So if you stinkin rich, or your company bought Crystal Reports go for it. If you need a less expensive solution that is more Java friendly, I would suggest
Jasper Reports
JFree Report
BTW - This has what to do with JDBC??

Creating Jasper Reports using iReport is cake and free.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
