Hi gurus, In have an entity bean in my application, and i dont want the bean to be synchronized with the data base very frequently. my requirement is the bean can sync its state once in a predefiend time period. My question is how do i set the refresh timing of the entity bean. Is there any way to do that or it is left the server?
This depends on the Application Server. I am assuming that you are talking about a Read-only or Read-mostly strategy. This is not explicitly cover by the EJB Spec so it is a vendor optimization that some offer. For example, this functionality is supported by WebLogic and Websphere, I am not sure about others. What J2EE server are you using?
Hi Chris and all, Yes, as you said i am using the bean as read-mostly and i am using weblogic as application server. In weblogic where can i set the porperty? thanks in Advance, Sunder
