For a webapp, will the classloader look in the classes directory or the lib directory first? Does this vary for different App Servers?
Thanks,
Jayson

servlet specification (2.3) mandates that classes present in the classes folder needs to be loaded before the ones in the jar files in the lib folder. So as long as the app servers are servlet spec 2.3 compliant, the behaviour has to be uniform.
