Authenticate against Active Directory?

Hi,
I want to authenticate users against Active Directory - I've have heard I can do this with JNDI. Does anyone have any code samples or good links for this? Also, will I need any kind of Active Directory jar file or would an LDAP jar file work - or would I need any additional libraries beyond Java 1.3?
