from the sample chapter, I understand that the entire sample code is printed in the text of your book.
How would you compare this to including only small excerpts of the code into the text, and why this approach has been selected for the book?

I took that approach to make the examples easier to follow, with no "missing information". Segments of the code that illustrate new concepts are highlighted in bold, to draw attention to the relevant segments of the code.

The examples tend to be small, focused and self contained therefore listing them in their entirety made sense.
