To a remote client the location of the enterprise bean is transparent but for the local client it is not transparent. What does this mean ?

Santhosh,
Both clients get the home interface from the JNDI. If the remote home becomes registered from a different machine, the client doesn't have to change anything - the remote call just goes elsewhere. If the local home becomes registered from a different machine, the client cannot call it anymore.
