Hi,
I am developing a Swing GUI for an application and have started out using the icons provided at http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/techDocs/hi/repository/.
However, the range here seems fairly limited. I am tired of trawling the web for another decent icon repository only to find fragmentary collections of sub-standard, unprofessional looking work. Does anyone know any good resources for software icons I could take a look at please?
thanks,
Ben.

You could always check out the icons used by some open source projects on sourceforge or freshmeat. Just download the source code and browse through the folders.
Most of these apps are GPL, so if you intend for your program to be commercial, make sure you get permission before using the icons.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
