Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone here - I had an interview the other day, with a couple of technical tests (spotting mistakes - compilation errors and others, and writing a Singleton).
Apparently my answer to the first
test was the most complete they'd seen, and writing the Singleton was obviously acceptable too, since they offered me the job
I'm pretty sure that 90% of that achievement is as a direct result of reading messages here (and trying to answer some) - definitely reading people's code here, and the comments from others, helped with the spotting mistakes test.
Thanks again,
Dave.
