Hi All,
I have to write a program for data entry. In the main screen (say screen1),I need to display another screen (say screen2) which should stay on top of the main screen. User shouldn't allow to swich back to main screen until the user closes this screen (Screen2).In the screen2 I have to add JTextFields, JButtons etc.

I need your opinion to develop this application please. I think I can use Jframe for the main screen (Screen1) and JDialog for the Screen2. What is the recommended Layout for the data entry screen which includes number of JButtons (to navigate through ResultSet and Insert,Edit,Delete,Save records). I would appreciate if someone can provide an example data entry screen layout for me.

Thanks.

I see you haven't made much progress since your last post on this subject. Perhaps you should take a look at the Swing Tutorial. Once you have an idea as to what layout managers are available and how they work, you should be able to figure out what one (or combination) best fits your requirements. We love to help people along with their problems but since a lot of people come here with school work, we try to avoid giving away code. Try to lay out your GUI and we'll be here to help you if you have any questions.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
