Hi,

I had made an application using swing.Want that when i click on submit button after entering username and password, submit button should get disable and a waiting status should be shown on the frame while the authentication happens and a next frame loads.

Help me with your different views regarding that. Thanks in advance.

So are you asking how to do that or what the preferred user experience might be for something like that?

As per the usability norms, user should always be kept updated on what is going on. More importantly he should also be given the option of canceling that process.

Considering this a progress bar with a "Cancel" button should be the correct approach.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
