stopping JSP execution temporarily through code ....please help

Hai all,
I am working with JSP on J2EE.I want to stop execution of JSP at some mid point of my code, for some validation or check some intermediate value of a variable. Like how we have response.end in ASP. Can some body help me in this regard please with code .

Just try and comment out some code from the JSP, save it, and hit reload from the browser.
Make your checks, uncomment the code, comment some more code, and save. Hit reload from the browser.

The Java content of the JSP corresponds to the HTTP servlet's request handler i.e. doPost() or doGet(), so the equivalent of Response.End in ASP is just return;
