My problem is that I currently have a file upload applet that is connected to a servlet to store the actual files on a server. after the upload is finished i want the servlet to open a new asp page automatically. has anyone any ideas on how i would go about this?? thanks in advance.... Sean

You might want to take a look at the RequestDispatcher.forward() or the HttpServletResponse.sendRedirect() methods.

Thanks for your response, however i eventually handled it on the applet side with a getAppletContext().show(url) method
