Deploying to what? JBoss? WebLogic? Tomcat? JRun, Resin? EAServer? WebSphere? WebObjects? Dynamo? Borland Enterprise Server? Interstage? LiteWebServer? Cosminexus? Orion?

You need to provide a little more when explaining your problem gaurav chhabra. Otherwise people can only guess, rather than provide more useful help.

i think you first better go thru a book on servlets ,and then can start working on examples.

Asking questions like this doesnt going to help you understand the concepts but will solve your current problem..
so better read some stuff on servlets first before working on them!

I think he needs a basic tutorial on Java before diving into servlets...
His questions indicate a total lack of understanding about the core language and tools, not just J2EE specifics.
