hi,
I have a servlet, it calls a method in a third party API. This method returns a XML document. Browser connection gets timed out Since the xml doc is voluminous. Is there any way to get this doc fom the API

The usual approach when a servlet has to get data with a process that takes a long time, is to start a separate Thread to control that process and return a message to the client saying the process has been started.
