I'm told to go read up on conveying data to these three devices. I'm further told that each of these has something like an HTML subset.

Is there a website that might offer an intro on this sort of thing?

Do you know what subset of HTML is supported? WML, for example? Or is it just an ad-hoc subset?

I'm brand spanking new to the whole idea. I have no idea what the subset is. But a subset does make sense.

And I can't help but think that there might be some do's and don'ts. And maybe these contraptions offer some emulators for development purposes.

Way back in the ice Ages, I did a little bit of looking into J2ME and WML for mobile phones. There is an emulator (Windows only as I recall).

I'm afraid I may not be much use to you since I didn't dig very deep and my knowledge may be antiquated at this point. I do remember that some people writing traditional web apps (versus dedicated mobile apps) used XSLT to deliver different versions of the pages to different devices.

You may find some info in the J2ME forum.

I thought about posting the JME forum, but this isn't JME - this is definitely servlet country.
