If I have a servlet/jsp application that handles purchase, user enters their name, address, then go to next page to enter credit card, then enter order quantity, etc. Suppose the first page is "user personal information" and 2nd page is "credit card info" page. When user is on the page of credit card page it needs to validate credit card information. If it fails it shows user a credit card failure page. On that page, there is a link

javascript:history.go(-1);

This should take user back to previouds page. but I am wondering if we will lose the information he entered for the 1st page "user info" ?
