From the HP JVM Documentation:
The 1.3 release [of the HP-UX JVM] contains the FastSwing feature that is exclusive to HP-UX. This feature provides significant performance improvement for Swing Applications on a Remote X-Server. Remote X-Servers include X-Terminals, PC-XServers like Exceed and Reflection X and remote unix workstations.
