I need to write a java program that will return the amount of disk space available using a specific drive letter on a Windows system. I'm fairly new to java and need a little help getting started. Has anyone done this before and might be able to provide some examples.

Not sure that there's an explicit method available for this. It seems like this could possibly require Java to know about the specific filesystem/OS it is running on, and this is something Java tries not to know, if you know what I mean!

The JConfig library (http://www.jconfig.com) can do it. Take a look at the docs for DiskVolume:
