Hi all,

I'm current doing my final year project at Loughborough University, UK
(where I am enrolled as a mature computer science student). My project is
building a collaborative software engineering environment which will
improve the way programmers collaborate.

To get an idea of what professional software developers find useful in a
software engineering environment I have put up a questionnaire on
http://co-project.lboro.ac.uk/users/coalc/coc251/.

I would be very grateful if you, as a Java developer, would contribute to
the study by filling out the questionnaire (it will not take you more than
a few minutes).

I will be publishing the results of the study on the same location in six
months time.

Hope that you will help me out.

Kind regards,
AllanLykkeChristensen

Hi Ray,

Thank you for participating in my study. I appreciate your comments very much.

They want I am planning to implement the system is as follows:

Building a platform that has the very basic functionality of the environment. This includes authentication and authorisation of users, customisable user interface, and a pluggable architecture.

Depending on the results of my questionnaires and personal interviews I will develop a set of plug-ins that will fit into the core platform described above. Owners of the system could then decide what plug-ins to use and not use.

I will be trying to develop the plug-ins XP-style - by having personal interviews with selected respondents of the questionnaire (like yourself) and defining the requirements and acceptance tests for each iteration/plug-in.

Anyways, thank you for your participation!

Kind regards,
Allan

what if we put solar panels on top of the semi truck trailer? That could power this tiny ad:
